Early Victorian Mahogany Couch in NORTH PERTH, Western Australia for sale
This early Victorian Couch (1830) was hidden in a cave in the Lesotho mountains during the Anglo Boer war. It belonged to a Farmer family on the Eastern Free State Lesotho border. After the war it was taken out by the workers who worked on the farm as the owners were killed during the war. It was used by them for almost a 100 years when I bought it in a totally wrecked state in 2000. I have spent lots of hours and sweat in restoring at close as I could to its orginal condition. Would prefer a buyer who continue to look after it and care for it.
